My name is Carol Grunewald and I’m running for election on Nov. 5 to represent you on our local Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC).

My husband and I have lived in Chevy Chase DC since 1990, having moved here from Dupont Circle. Originally from coastal New England, I have a background in journalism and advocacy/activism on behalf of animals and the environment. I also have an abiding interest in community and what makes great neighborhoods.

I have a B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. This is the first time I have run for political office.

I love Chevy Chase. I have invested heavily here in terms of relationships, time, energy, and money, and hope to live out the rest of my years here. But I am concerned about the future of Chevy Chase DC.
